The Unisys Managed Web Filtering Service offering provides the KPSN partner with a highly available shared service that is monitored and managed by specialist staff in this field. The service is kept up to date by Unisys access to its worldwide capabilities and experience ensuring protection is maximised
By deploying as a shared service costs savings should also be evident as opposed to individual services. It also reduces the training requirements on the partner in a niche technology area.
The managed service will be deployed as a central shared service and be located in the KPSN Interconnect area. This area is ideal for Kent Connects partners as that is their path to the internet, therefore the filtering device is effectively inline and no tromboning of date path need to occur.
The central solution will support dual content filters geographically located in Maidstone and Canterbury Internet egress points.
