ADSL Small Sites Solution
The KPSN provided BT Teleworker connection is deployed with a KPSN managed Cisco ISR CPE and provides a generic internet connection. The internet connection is used to build a site-to-site IPSec VPN tunnel which connects the edge site to the partner VPN as if it were directly connected over a dedicated link, in a secure encrypted tunnel.
The CPE will be configured by default to direct all traffic to the partner VPN, no direct traffic path to the internet will be possible. This restrictive access ensures all traffic (even internet bound traffic) is passed back to the VPN for proxying, filtering and policy applying.
The remote CPE and VPN termination point will be monitored and managed as part of the KPSN Managed service.
The monitoring portion of this service is summarised as:
- 24 x 7 monitoring of the firewall device – 5 minute poll period
- Telemetry and reporting from the device displayed and reported 24 x 7 via the NOC portal
- Break / fix maintenance with 4 hour equipment replacement
The management portion of the service is summarised as:
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support of the service and configuration
- Dispatch of Unisys field service technicians where required
- Monthly service reporting
