Technical Operational Delivery Manager
Stuart has over 25 years’ experience working in ICT; he initially trained in electronics and worked at the University of Kent as an Electronics Engineer. Then as ICT and the internet developed in the early 90s he became the ICT Hardware Engineer at Canterbury Christ Church College where he was responsible for the maintenance of all the desktops and printers at site.
Stuart joined Kent County Council in late 1998 as a Senior Field Engineer to assist with the roll-out of NT4 which was the latest Microsoft OS and was in preparation for the possible millennium bug.
As a Technical Architect Stuart was the lead for a number of projects including the migration of the library service back into KCC’s corporate management. He was the Technical Project Manager for the development and implementation of the Gateways sites around Kent and this is where he became heavily involved with partnership working and developing IT to enable collaboration between public sector bodies.
In 2013 he was seconded to the KPSN Bid Team and assisted the team in reviewing the proposals supplied by the bidders which included dialogue and scoring the different proposals. Shortly after the contract award Stuart applied and gained the role of KPSN Service Delivery Manager and became responsible for the day-to-day service being delivered to the KPSN partners. Recently the role has changed to Technical Operational Delivery Manager and Stuart is now responsible for the technical direction and project delivery for KPSN and the day-to-day operation of the KPSN Service.
