Commercial Contracts Manager

In 1976 Steve commenced his career with British Rail with his last position being IT and Workforce Planning Manager in 1998. Responsibilities ranged from financial management and audit to workforce analysis and planning across the South East, Essex and Cambridgeshire. As part of his last position he contributed in various negotiations with Trade Unions and was responsible for the management of HR and Payroll IT systems across the South East.

Following the privatisation of British Rail Steve joined the NHS in 1999 at East Kent Hospitals as a Management Accountant becoming the Business Manager for the Kent Education Consortium in 2000. Two years later, he returned as HR Planning Manager for South Eastern Trains for a couple of years.

In 2004, he re-joined the NHS as Business & Performance Manager at the Strategic Health Authority, responsible for the commissioning and contract management of education for the Non-Medical Workforce across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

Following the full implementation of the Health and Social Care Bill, he left the NHS and joined Kent County Council as Contracts Manager (ICT) in 2016 before progressing to his current position of Commercial Contracts Manager. He is responsible for the development, management and maintenance of all legal, commercial and contractual aspects for the KPSN service and related partnerships.

Steve gained his MA in Business Management from Middlesex University in 2015.
